 Party Tips & Tricks
Football

Parties for football should be casual and easy, so everyone, including the hosts, can enjoy the event. It's all about the spirit of the game and just good loud fun.
Plan ahead so there is less work at the last minute. It's a good idea to make as much of the food in advance, so all you have to do at party time is unwrap, or heat and serve.

Food and Drink
Food
It's a finger food fiesta. Stock up on party snacks, arrange big food platters, make spicy wings, pile on the bagels & schemer or call-out for pizza delivery.
Drink
Have a robust selection of alcoholic and non-alcoholic drinks that make everyone happy.
Ice
Don't run out of ICE! Freeze empty plastic bottles and/or clean milk cartons in advance to make blocks of ice for keeping coolers cold.

Decorations
Decor-lite
No need to go overboard. Click here for some simple
decorations, serve ware and tableware to make your preparations easy and complete.
Off Sides
If you're going to have guests who are rooting for different teams, establish an imaginary line (or for fun, "draw" one with masking tape) down the center of the room. Decorate each side in one team's colors. Give them what it takes to root for their team. Click here for party accessories and other noisemakers.

Kid's Spot
Set up a kids' room in the back of the house that's stocked with treats, games, a TV and DVD Player. Keep it age appropriate. Make sure to check on the action every once in a while.

Entertainment
1. Count how many times the announcers equate the football players to "heroes," "warriors" or anything other than what they really are Ð big guys in tights.
2. Pay attention to how often the announcers refer to the "teams" with words like "dynasty' or "destiny". If you catch them using both words in the same sentence, you get 500 bonus points.
3. Try to predict which company's commercial airs first or the total amount of money spent on all the advertising for the night.
